The standards framework

The accreditation framework consists of seven quality standards which have been developed to assist families as well as professionals to understand what a family group conference is and what to expect if involved in one. They identify the basic requirements expected from those delivering the service.

In this video Dawn describes the seven quality standards in more detail, and they are also summarised in a supporting graphic below.

Length: 10 minutes

Reflective questions

Here are reflective questions to stimulate conversation and support practice.

  1. What are the benefits of having quality standards as part of FGCs?
  2. How do family network meetings compare to FGCs?
  3. How do you measure quality of your engagement with families?

You could use these questions in a reflective session or talk to a colleague. You can save your reflections and access these in the Research in Practice Your CPD area.
