Working towards co-production in adult social care
An upcoming workshop will investigate the why, who, and how of co-production to improve outcomes in adult social care.
This session aims to support professionals to become advocates for co-production in their roles, building knowledge and confidence to work with people with lived experience across practice, service design and commissioning.
Designed for professionals at all levels, this co-produced workshop will be hosted jointly by people with lived and professional experiences of adult social care.
This workshop requires active participation – please ensure you are able to fully give your time and attention to this workshop.
Learning outcomes
- Consider co-production in relation to the social model of disability and understand why co-production is vital in adult social care.
- Feel confident in knowing what co-production is and can explain why you personally wish to co-produce.
- Consider ‘pre-production’ – ensuring equity in co-production right from the very start.
- Co-create your own standards of co-production with others in the workshop.
- Understand the importance of evaluation, sustaining, and celebrating co-production, embedding co-production as a way of working rather than as a one-off.
